This campaign is about service, fairness, integrity, and ensuring that every person who enters the courtroom is treated with dignity and respect. The people of Terrebonne Parish deserve a judge who will listen carefully, apply the law faithfully, and make decisions with both strength and impartiality.
My experience has prepared me to serve our community with professionalism, sound judgement, and a deep respect for the responsibility of the bench. If entrusted with your vote, I will work every day to uphold the law, protect the integrity of our courts, and administer justice fairly for everyone who comes before Division "E."

Kevin D. Thompson — Legal Experience and Judicial Philosophy
Kevin D. Thompson is a respected Louisiana attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience, known throughout his career for fairness, impartiality, professionalism, and respect for those involved in the judicial process.
Over the course of his career, Kevin has handled thousands of cases in Terrebonne, Lafourche, and St. Mary Parishes, as well as other jurisdictions throughout Louisiana. That extensive courtroom experience has given him a broad, practical understanding of the judicial system and the many circumstances that bring individuals and families before the court.
Kevin’s approach to the law is grounded in accountability, fairness, and sound temperament. He believes a courtroom can be both tough and humane—holding people accountable while recognizing that every individual who enters the courtroom deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
He also understands that many people come before the court during some of the most difficult and stressful moments of their lives. Kevin believes the judicial process should be understandable and orderly, and that those appearing before the court should know what is happening, understand the process, and know what to expect.
His more than three decades of legal practice have shaped a judicial philosophy centered on preparation, patience, impartiality, respect for the law, and fair treatment for every person who enters the courtroom.
